By linking courses to real-life business challenges, universities can improve their degrees. In our university we were given basics of business accounting as well as There is a Special domain called Buisness engineering application domain to give knowledge related to business and related things. The most special course module is Personal Progress and Development I & II course modules are fully developed related to these kind of topics. In there they gave us knowledge related to Personality development & Personal branding, Leadership, Team building, Personal goal setting, Personal grooming, Communication & Presentation skills, Time management, First-aid & Life support, Etiquette, Social & physical environmental sensitivity and etc.
Create Opportunities for Students to Participate in Social Entrepreneurship Contests
There is nothing more attractive and hands-on than letting students participate in a certain type of entrepreneurial and innovative competition.Ideally, if the entrepreneurial competition is organize by an organization or university and student groups can compete with each other. In addition, a group of organizations can get together to sponsor such competitions. Most recently, they encourage us to participate us to participate Ecovation Awards 2021, IEEE Invoation Nation and many more ideathons and etc.
Focus More on Case Studies
Case studies are an effective way to stimulate students’ curiosity and make them face the real industry environment. By studying past or current company success stories and operational obstacles, students can gain a deeper understanding of the processes and procedures followed by executives when making decisions.
As well as in our university our curriculum is mostly dependent on case studies in teaching methods as well as student evaluation methods (Exams). It will gain lots of experience to handle current situations according to the given factors.
Invite Business Executives to Deliver Lectures
Our University occasionally invites business executives and asks them to teach about entrepreneurship, make a presentation, or share their experiences with students. Most recently Mr. Amodh Jayasinghe conducts a session on Traits of an Entrepreneur and also this article is also a result of that session.
