What is Ikigai?

For centuries, philosophers have been studying structures that explain the pursuit of happiness and meaning in life. Ikigai is a combination of the Japanese words ikiru (meaning “life”) and kai (meaning “feeling of hope”). Together, these definitions create the “reason for survival” or purpose of life.
We all strive for satisfaction and goals in life. Fitness exercise is the reason you get up in the morning. It inspires your motivation to indulge and appreciate life every day.
Ikigai is a useful practice in professional development because Ikigai’s meditation will change with your own passions and needs and the needs of the world. Your ikigai practice will not necessarily end, but a continuous process.

How to find your Ikigai?

According to Japanese culture, everyone has ikigai. It is not always easy to discover our strengths. There are four questions that can help us find our way out. If you write them down and encounter them often, you can use them as a compass to bring you closer to your goal.

To find your Ikigai, you must ask yourself:

1. What do I love? (passion)

2. What am I good at? (vocation)

3. What can I be paid for? (profession)

4. What does the world need? (mission)

Ikigai is a combination of the four basic components of life: passion, profession, occupation, and mission. In other words, where; your loved one can satisfy your expertise, satisfy the price you can cherish and pay, and satisfy the needs of the world. Ikigai can achieve this goal only when the goal is to serve the community. Giving gifts makes us more satisfied than giving gifts. After determining these components, the next step is to follow the compass to start the operation. Start processing your questions and see how your answers fit the basic components of Ikigai.

What do I love? (passion)

Enthusiasm is the feeling of strong enthusiasm or strong desire for someone or something. Enthusiasm can be the desire or admiration for an idea, proposal, or reason; enthusiasm for an interest or activity; a strong attraction, excitement, or emotion to a person. In the IKIGAI, passion can be divided into two categories: things you like and things you are good at.
Software development and software engineerings are my dream and passion. In my opinion, I like to spend as much time as possible on the computer. I like to develop software. In this regard, the software engineering degree program allows me to prepare and invest my passion.

What am I good at? (vocation)

This is about of particularly attractive occupation, or a suitable, trained, or competent occupation. Positioning can provide people with information about new occupations. Vocation will be divided into two categories: available wages and world needs.

The degree program provided me with the qualities needed to become a software engineer. The internship program will give me the opportunity to train myself and prepare me to become a good software engineer.

What can I be paid for? (profession)

The profession is based on special education and training. Its purpose is to provide others with selfless and objective advice and services in order to obtain direct and definite remuneration but does not want to obtain other commercial benefits at all. Majors will be divided into two categories: the industry you are good at and the remuneration available.
As a professional, to be a software engineer with the soft skills and technical skills required to be a perfect software engineer, My degree program has provided me with strong support to become an excellent software engineer. Not only the course content but also lectures, special interactive meetings with industry experts have helped me improve my skills and qualities, making me a successful software engineer.

What does the world need? (mission)

The mission statement is a brief description of the reasons for the organization’s existence, the organization’s overall goals, and the determination of operational goals: the types of products or services the organization provides, the main customers or markets, and the organization’s geographic area operations. This is also very suitable for one person. Everyone has his own mission. The tasks will be divided into two categories: what the world needs and what you like.
Personally, my mission is to be a successful person in life and have a good career in the industry. In order to perform the task, I need to get the right guidelines and I need to be in the right place to get that guide. The degree program provided me with the valuble things and guidelines to achieve my mission.
